How does LiveToka work?
Choose the spoken language (and a target language for translation), press Start and speak into your microphone — or pick “Tab or screen audio” to caption a video or web meeting playing in another tab. Transcription and translation appear in real time, and you can switch languages without stopping.
Is it free to use?
Yes, you can try it free: every new account gets 10 free minutes after signing in with Google (no credit card). Translation uses credits at 2×, so that is up to 10 minutes of transcription or 5 minutes of translation. For more usage, plans start at $9.9/month — see our Pricing page.
Which languages are supported?
Speech recognition supports 55+ languages plus bilingual modes (Mandarin & English, Spanish & English, Malay & English, Tamil & English), and translation covers 100+ languages. See the full language list.
Do you store my audio or text?
Text results can be saved to your history if you choose. Audio streams are processed in real time and not stored. Learn more in our Privacy Policy.
Can I export transcripts?
Yes. Copy the transcript or download it as TXT or SRT subtitles right from the results panel, or export saved sessions as CSV or JSON from your History page.
What browsers are supported?
Latest versions of Chrome, Edge and Safari on a computer are recommended. Capturing audio from a browser tab works in Chrome and Edge.
Why does the browser ask to use my microphone?
When you press Start, your browser will request permission to access the microphone. Click Allow. If you blocked it, click the lock icon near the address bar → Site settings → Microphone → Allow, then reload. On macOS, enable your browser in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone.
